The Future of America

I learned today that Miss USA contestants receive the questions before being asked so that they can prepare. Apparently, not all use that opportunity.

Disclaimer: For our Croatian audience, not all American's are so uninformed about the world. Many do own maps and do not think of themselves as United States Americans.

Emma Loves Taking a Bath

Here are some pictures of Emma right after she gets out of the bath and is all warmed up in her towel. She loves being wrapped in the towel as you can see.

Baka has arrived!!!

Last Friday Andreja's Mom (Emma's Baka) arrived in Atlanta. It was an interesting trip to the airport to pick her up. As we were driving Friday afternoon south on 85 (great time to go to the airport) we got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. What was worse, the clutch in the car started slipping, which made it very difficult to get the car to move. A couple times when we were stopped going up a hill I thought the car wouldn't make it over the hill. Also, as we sat in traffic, afraid that the car wouldn't move, we realized that Emma was possibly going to have to eat before we made it home, if we made it home. We decided the best course of action was to pray. We prayed the entire drive to the airport and God in his goodness gave us safe travel.

It took a little time to find Baka, because her bag got stuck in the conveyor with the bag of a Bosnian guy. They were the only ones waiting for stuck baggage, but at least they could communicate. Eventually, her bags came and she was able to go through customs with no other problems.

Once we left the airport the clutch was working again and we made is smoothly around 285 home. We even made it without Emma getting too hungry:) The clutch is being replaced as I write. When we arrived home we thanked God for kindly answering our prayers and bringing us safely home.

Baka is getting adjusted to life with us and we are getting adjusted to life with her. It is a huge blessing that she can come and help out with Emma when I go back to school next week and with Andreja back at work.

Congratulations Remigailo's (a little late)!!!

On August 3rd our friends Rich and Eleanor Remigailo welcomed their third child into the world. David Keith weighed 8lbs 15 oz and was 21 in long. We went to see them the day David was born and it was funny to compare him to Emma since at that time they were the same size, she just happened to be almost six weeks old. All the people we know who have had or are having babies this summer are having boys. That could be trouble in another 12-15 years:)
