Emma and Elliott

On Thursday Andreja and Emma went to visit Elliott and Laura. Elliott is two week younger than Emma. On the picture he weighs what Emma weighed when she was born. You can really see how much she has grown. Emma looks huge compared with Elliott.

Emma needed to put Elliott in his place so she gave him a little slap across the face. That's my girl!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREJA!!!

On Wednesday, July 25th, was Andreja's birthday. I had the chance to take the day off so I could hang out with Andreja and help out with Emma. We had a great time. I coordinated with my parents and sisters to get Andreja a little digital camera that she can easily carry with her and take picture of Emma. She was totally surprised!!! It was a lot of fun.

On Wednesday Emma was four weeks. She's just getting bigger and bigger every day. It's crazy how quickly babies grow at this early age.

Last weekend we went to a baby shower for our friends Remigailos-it's their 3rd kid. It was a big things for me to be able to get myself together, put some make-up on, fix my hair and enjoy some adult company. Emma is such an easy kid and it is easy to go places together-as long as it is between her feedings. I am still not that great with feeding her in public but am slowly getting there:) It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed hanging out with all of our dear friends very much. And that was a perfect time for a family photo! Eleanor is due July 30th and we are hoping for a baby girl so Emma can have a close friend in age and geographically:)

Prosli vikend smo isli na baby parti za nase frendove Remigailos-ovo je njima treca beba. ja sam bila hapi da imam priliku se pocesljat, stavit malo ni sminke i uzivat u drustvu odraslih:) Emma je tako jednostavna beba da nije problem s njom nikud ici-iako jos uvijek sve pokusavamo obaviti izmedu hranjenja. Jos uvijek nisam skroz opustena da bi je mogla nahraniti u javnosti, iako ako bi trebala ne bi bio problem i postajem sve bolja u tome. Bio je prekrasan dan i uzivali smo u drustvu nasih bliskih prijatelja. I naravno to je bila super prilika da se uslikamo kao cijela obitelj. Eleanor je termin 30.7. i ja se nadam curici da Emma moze imat prijateljicu blisku u godinama a i u susjedstvu.

Last few weeks

Emma se je upravo najela, pa sam i ja uspijela pojesti sendvic na brzinu i rekoh idem napisat par rijeci dok ona lijepo ugodno sjedi i uziva u svom roznom cvjeticastom stolcu kojisu joj poklonili njeni prijatelji POngraci iz Siska:)
Ne mogu ponekad vjerovati da su vec tri tjedna prosla, dok u isto vrijeme si mislim kako nekad vrijeme sporo ide. Danas sam isla podignut Emmu da ju podrignem nakon jela i nekak me udarilo da je Emma zaista u ova tri tjedna narasla vec i skroz se promijenila-barem meni. Ima sad vec puno vise masnoce na sebi i nije samo mala kost i koza. Naravno odmah mi ju je lakse i nosat jer se ne moram brinut da cu joj polomit kosti.
U utorak smo bile ja i Emma kod doktora. Samo smo se isle izvagat. Ja sam naime zvala da vidim jer mogu je donijet samo da ju izvazu da provjerim dal dobro jede i dal se deblja. Iako prostim okom se cinilo da je sve u redu, ipak sam htjela otici do doktora da provjerim. TO je ujedno bila i nasa prva zajednicka voznja autom bez chrisa. Emma je bila super-mislim da voli svoju sjedalicu za u auto-jer nij plakala al nije ni spavala. Promatrala je kroz prozor sta se desava vani-e sad koliko ona toga moze vidjet to je upitno:) Uglavnom Emmica je moja super i udebljala se skoro pola kile sto je super u dva tjedna. Obicno bi oni htjeli da se beba udeblja bar 350 grama a evo emma rusi rekorde. Jedva cekam da bude buca mala sa debelim batacima:)
Sad sam malo mirnija jer znam da jede al navike joj se svaki dan mijenjaju. Nesto novo dode svaki dan.
Danas je recimo vani ruzno i crno i pada kisa evo od podneva, i Emmica moja spava lijepo. Takvo je vrijeme. Cim ovo zavrsim budem i ja isla malo odspavat jer mi se kapci sklapaju. Dva puta po dva sata u noci jednostavno iako sam se vec navikla-nije dovljno.
Emma je i dalje jako jako dobra beba. Mislim da kraj takve bebe covjek bi mogao imat i blizance. Emocionalna nestabilnost od hormona me prolazi i naravno zivot je odmah ljepsi kad se ne places radi svake gluposti:) Emmica moja samo spava, jede, malo place kad treba prdnut i to je to.Stvarno je predivna. Svaki dan sad evo neku novu facu napravi i jedva cekam da se pocne po prave smijati i primjecivati nas. Obozava svoj taju. Cim chris dode s posla od nju preuzima i njih dvoje se druze, a ona ga gleda i promatra kao da je Boga vidjela.
IDem sad da ovo jos i na engleskom sve napisem pa da odem malo prilec na kauc-nas dvije macke da malo odmorimo.

Emma just ate, i had my sandwich and decided to quickly write a short update on what has been happening with the two of us. She is peacefully sleeping in her nice pink chair our friends Pongrac gave her as a present.
Sometimes i can not believe that it has been already over 3 weeks since she was born. Especially because sometimes it feels like ONLY 3 weeks. After she ate today i was trying to lift her to burp her and i realized that she is having more fat on her and is not just skin and bones anymore. It makes it easier to carry her and less fearful that i am going to break her bones or something.
Tuesday emma and i went to the doctors office to weight her in. I wanted to make sure that she is eating well and gaining weight. With breastfeeding you never know what she is getting. This was also our first ride together in the car without Chris. I think Emma likes her car seat as she did not fuss and was looking through the window at the fast passing scenarios. She gain 150z in 2 weeks which is excellent. I am so happy for her and at more peace about the whole thing.
Everyday is different over her. She changes habits all the time it seems like. Today for example is very dark and rainy here so she is sleeping most of the afternoon. I need to finish this so i can go and do the same. My eyes are heavy as 2 times 2 hours of sleep a night just doesn't cut it. no matter how used to it you get it is just not a lot.
Emma is a very good baby. If all babies were like this it would not be hard to have twins:) I think my emotional hormone stuff is passing away.That makes life so much more enojoyable. She just eats and sleeps, cries only when trying to get some farts out...Simply wonderful and i am so in love with her. Every day she has a new facial gesture she makes and i can not wait till she actually notices me and starts smiling. She loves her dad as when he comes home from work and hangs out with her, she has her eyes wide open and is looking at him intently.
Anyway, i better get going. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and say we are doing great!

Brian. A friend from GSU Law. Also a Techie (but we won't hold that against him, but we will be sure to limit his influence on Emma:)).

Ginny. We used to live in her basement. She helped Andreja adjust to life in America when we were first married.


Patty. One of Andreja's closest friends in Atlanta.


Lindsey. Her husband Justin is a good friend from highschool.


Vanessa. Her husband Sean is also a friend from highschool.


Dan. One of my roommates from UGA.


Ben. Another roommate from UGA (Ben, Dan and I lived together)


Josh. A former member of our small group.

On Saturday, July 14, 2007, Elliott James Clark was born. He weighed 6 lbs 7 oz and was 18 in long. We're excited for Josh and Laura on the arrival of their little boy. It's fun that Emma and Elliott are practically the same age.
