Living Room

We have moved to our new home a month and a half ago. We have slowly settled in. There is so much decorating to still be done but the main area is slowly coming together. I had a great time shopping with my friend Hannah, who was so helpful in brainstorming with me on ideas, colors....I bought some new pieces for the main living area. Most of it i got at CB2 (a contemporary branch of Crate & Barrel) and some pieces of course i got in IKEA. I am still waiting on rugs, curtains, fire place decor to come together but things are starting to look good and lively. We have enjoyed it!
I will post more pictures as we add things to each room.

Visit to the Zoo!

Two weekends ago, it was beautiful weather so we went to the Zoo again. Since we have the membership it is fun to go every once in a while. This time we got to see Gorilla's real up close. We saw 2 tiny baby gorillas and this giant male gorilla just eating his lunch. We finished the visit of course with a zoo train ride which is always fun. And i even got a chance to get a picture with the girls. I don't have many with both of them.

Gratitude

Expression of my heart towards God these days as we try to make decisions about so many things. Asking God, Trusting God, Hoping for Peace...

Send some rain, would You send some rain?
'Cause the earth is dry and needs to drink again
And the sun is high and we are sinking in the shade
Would You send a cloud, thunder long and loud?
Let the sky grow black and send some mercy down
Surely You can see that we are thirsty and afraid
But maybe not, not today
Maybe You'll provide in other ways
And if that's the case . . .

(Chorus)

We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to thirst for You
How to bless the very sun that warms our face
If You never send us rain

Daily bread, give us daily bread
Bless our bodies, keep our children fed
Fill our cups, then fill them up again tonight
Wrap us up and warm us through
Tucked away beneath our sturdy roofs
Let us slumber safe from danger's view this time
Or maybe not, not today
Maybe You'll provide in other ways
And if that's the case . . .

(Chorus)

We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
A lesson learned to hunger after You
That a starry sky offers a better view if no roof is overhead And if we never taste that bread

Oh, the differences that often are between
What we want and what we really need

So grant us peace, Jesus, grant us peace
Move our hearts to hear a single beat
Between alibis and enemies tonight
Or maybe not, not today
Peace might be another world away
And if that's the case . . .

(Chorus)

We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to trust in You
That we are blessed beyond what we could ever dream
In abundance or in need
And if You never grant us peace

But Jesus, would You please . . .
